manufacture of iron ink
6-8 years / 9-12 years / 13-15 years / Adults
From the roof of the COOP, we’ll get an incredible view of the Senne valley. We’ll then discuss the notion of landscape and our relationship with the district and its history.
Then, in the heart of a small verdant area, we’ll discover some landscapes so small that they could almost go unnoticed. Some plants in our small “green lung” have strange hosts that cause galls rich in tannin. These discoveries will teach us more about the links created between different living beings that populate the area.
With the help of our harvests and discoveries, we’ll use the workshop to make an iron gall ink, as the did monks in the Middle Ages, and we’ll also produce a surprising “drawing/landscape”.
You will leave with a small vial filled with black ink!
